How accurate are your countdown timers?
Our countdown timers are extremely accurate and update every second in real-time. We calculate the precise time difference between the current moment and the future event using JavaScript's Date object.
How do you calculate dates for holidays that change each year?
For holidays with variable dates (like Easter, Thanksgiving, or Mother's Day), we use standard calendar algorithms to calculate the correct date for the current or upcoming year. For example, Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday in November, and Easter uses a complex calculation based on the ecclesiastical calendar.
Why do some event dates show next year?
If an event has already occurred in the current year, our system automatically calculates and displays the countdown to next year's occurrence of that event. This ensures you always see a countdown to the next upcoming event.
Can I embed these countdowns on my own website?
Currently, we don't offer an embedding option. However, you're welcome to link directly to our countdown pages from your website. If you're interested in a custom embedding solution, please contact us.
How is the year progress percentage calculated?
The year progress bar on our homepage calculates what percentage of the current year has elapsed. It takes into account leap years and displays the exact percentage of days that have passed in the current year.
Do you plan to add more events and holidays?
Yes! We're constantly expanding our collection of countdown timers. If you'd like to suggest an event or holiday that's not currently featured, please send us your suggestions.
Does CountdownSphere work in all time zones?
Yes, our countdown timers automatically detect and adjust to your local time zone, ensuring the countdown is accurate regardless of your location.
What happens when the countdown reaches zero?
When a countdown reaches zero (the event has arrived), the timer stops at 00:00:00:00 and displays a message indicating the event has arrived. For annual events, the countdown will update to the next year's date within 24 hours.
